Early College & Dual Credit Opportunities
WHAT IS EARLY COLLEGE?
The Early College program is an opportunity for high school students to earn college credits while still attending high school. Through dual-credit courses, students can complete college-level work, saving time and money and getting a jump start on their college education!

Students can earn:
-
Indiana College Core (ICC)
-
Mishawaka High School, in partnership with Ivy Tech, provides students with multiple pathways—Dual Credit (Ivy Tech), Dual Enrollment (Indiana University ACP), and Advanced Placement (AP)—to complete the Indiana College Core.
-
Completing the Core allows students to earn one full year of transferable college credit before graduating.
-
The ICC is a 30-credit general education certificate from Ivy Tech.
-
All credits are guaranteed to transfer to any Indiana public college or university.
-
Thirty credits = one full year of college coursework.

2. Associates in General Studies from Ivy Tech
-
The associate degree requires an additional 30 credit hours of directed dual credit coursework beyond the Indiana College Core.
